    Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain

I’ll be honest. This trip wasn’t exactly my first choice. My original plan was to visit Krakow, Porto, Geneva and Bergen, but circumstances changed and I went to meet my family in Palma instead. I’m more of a city boy when I travel. I like to have plenty of things to do on my trips, therefore I was very judgmental.

Staying 3.5k from the city centre gave me the chance to walk everywhere and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the sun as I bounced from location to location.

    Palma

Arriving on a Sunday meant the two most popular attractions were closed, but I was still able to walk past them and admire the view. One place that was still open though was the Banys Àrabs (Arab Baths), with entry costing the small price of €3.50.

A tranquil garden surrounds the remains of these Arab baths from the time of Moorish rule.

The garden was extremely peaceful to relax in and take some beautiful photos, while indoors you learn of the Moorish rule of the island beginning all the way back in 902 AD.
